Elden Ring is FromSoftware's open-world action RPG, written with George R. R. Martin. You play a Tarnished returned to the Lands Between to reunite the shards of the Elden Ring and become Elden Lord. The game applies the principles of the Souls series — demanding combat, frequent death, allusive storytelling — to an immense map traversed on horseback, with no objective marker imposed.
What awaits you
- Dense open world — six large regions, underground dungeons, catacombs and hidden areas that nothing signals.
- Technical combat — parries, dodges, jumps and charged attacks; each boss demands that you learn its rhythm.
- Freedom of progression — if an opponent blocks your path, you can simply go elsewhere and come back stronger.
- Ashes of War and summons — interchangeable weapon skills and allied spirits to summon in combat.
- Highly varied builds — strength, dexterity, faith, intelligence, arcane: each orientation opens up a different arsenal and spells.
- Multiplayer — co-operation, invasions and messages left by other players.
