Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is the third-person action game developed by Saber Interactive, a direct sequel to Space Marine of 2011. You play Lieutenant Titus, an Ultramarine, sent to repel the invasion of the Tyranids, an alien species that overwhelms planets by sheer numbers. The game's technical signature lies precisely in that: hordes of hundreds of enemies displayed at once, surging towards the player.
What awaits you
- Combat blending gunplay and melee — bolter at range, chainsword and hammer up close, with executions that restore armour.
- Massive hordes — waves of Tyranids in very large numbers, which must be contained rather than simply picked off one by one.
- Three-player co-op campaign — the main story is played solo with AI-controlled teammates, or with two other players.
- Operations mode — co-op missions running alongside the campaign, with six classes to level up.
- Eternal War mode — online player-versus-player clashes, Space Marines against Chaos.
- Armour customisation — chapters, colours, heraldry and equipment pieces to unlock.
