Windows 10 Enterprise is the most fully featured edition of the system. It contains everything in Pro and adds security and deployment technologies meant for managed IT fleets. This licence covers 1 PC.
Added on top of Pro
- AppLocker: define exactly which applications may run on the machine and block the rest.
- Application Guard and Credential Guard: hardware isolation for the browser, and protection of sign-in credentials against token theft.
- DirectAccess and BranchCache: seamless connection to the corporate network and data caching at remote sites.
- BitLocker with central management, with encryption driven from the organisation's directory.
- Windows To Go and image deployment for provisioning identical machines at scale.
- Finer update control, with wider servicing channels and deferrals than Pro.
Inherited from Windows 10 Pro
Remote Desktop as host, Hyper-V, Windows Sandbox, Active Directory domain or Microsoft Entra ID join, Group Policy Editor, Microsoft Defender and Windows Hello are all there. This is the current Windows 10 with its feature updates, not to be mistaken for the LTSC editions, which are frozen and have no built-in apps.
