Broforce is a 2D action game by Free Lives, an unabashed parody of American action films of the 1980s and 1990s. You play “bros” directly inspired by cinema heroes, dropped into the jungle to free hostages and blow up everything that moves. The game's distinctive feature is the total destruction of the scenery: the terrain is dug out, collapses and burns, turning each level into escalating chaos — including for you, since it is very easy to die from your own explosion.
What awaits you
- Randomly drawn characters — each freed hostage switches you to a different hero and therefore a different weapon and playstyle, without warning.
- Full destruction — floors, walls and ceilings blow up, which opens paths and triggers chain collapses.
- Four-player co-op — local or online, with friendly fire and guaranteed collective catastrophes.
- Wild bosses — machines, vehicles and oversized creatures to take down at the end of each zone.
- Versus mode and level editor — player-versus-player battles and the creation of maps shared with the community.
- A very fast pace — short levels, frequent deaths, immediate restarts.
