Black Myth: Wukong on PlayStation 5 is Game Science's action-RPG inspired by Journey to the West. You play the Destined One, a staff-wielding warrior monkey, on a journey across mountains, abandoned temples and deserts haunted by demons from Chinese mythology. Combat relies on reading enemy attacks, positioning and choosing your stance; the bosses make up most of the challenge and often require several attempts before they are understood.
What awaits you
- Three combat stances — smash, pillar and thrust, with distinct reach and attack timings.
- Creature forms — transform into defeated enemies to access other abilities.
- Spells drawn from folklore — immobilise an opponent, create doubles, slip past the guardians' vigilance.
- Memorable boss fights — numerous, long and heavily staged, with several phases.
- Semi-open zones — side paths, secrets and optional bosses to discover off the main route.
- DualSense haptic feedback — the PS5 controller conveys the impacts and tension of the combos.
